St. James’s Church Wooden Floor Restoration

It was a privilege to restore the original herringbone floor in St James’s Church. Five centimeters thick, red cedar herringbone blocks, laid over hundred and thirty years ago is not a thing you come across every day. I do not want to sound sentimental, but on several occasions during the process of renovation one can only marvel at skill of the craftsmen who installed this floor all that years ago, and ponder the technology and the tools they used resulting in the amazing job they have done. Local people, who were attending the morning mass (warship service) were stopping, asking questions and complementing our work. The restoration and renovation was an exciting process, which ended with many smiles and a deep sense of satisfaction.

“Nass and Danny were very professional always courteous and punctual, job was finished to a high standard on time and was very reasonably priced. They worked around the general day to day business of the church without any fuss. The finished floor renovation was incredible. Bearing in mind it was laid in 1885. You would think it had only just been commissioned. Their attention to detail was exemplary. The church was left immaculate after they finished. I would highly recommend them to anyone. You are welcome to have a look at their work at St James Church, Twickenham. We will only be using them for all the wooden flooring needs of the church in the future.”
